UserXD is the brainchild of Daniel Birch. After 17 years of award-winning UX strategy and design for Vodafone, Open University Australia, Competenz, Les Mills International, and many others, I now help companies, clients, and audiences of all sizes create user led digital experiences and products.
For Les Mills International I led out a CX and UX strategy that saw there digital on demand product go through 400% growth in just 2 years, while maintaining a record low churn and reaching out to customers all over the world.My work for Les Mills won me a NZ Best Design bronze award in 2020.
For Vodafone I redesigned the NZ broadband checkout experience which in turn doubled the conversion rate, created the biggest Feb and March in 5 years for sales and increased channel share from 11% to 18%.
For Competenz I led design across a custom Learning management system that saw the company move from paper learning into the digital space that they now pioneer for NZ trades and learning.
I have seen so many digital experiences fail due to poor user experience and incorrect assumptions. I know that a planned approach that looks at user behaviour and pain points in detail with a need to solve them are key to a products success.

When I am not working you will find me at home with my partner entertaining my 1 year old daughter with some out of tune karaoke or playing and coaching my 11 a side football team on a Sunday afternoon.
